 Firstly our warmest welcome to you for joining this forum and I'm quite sure all of us could exchange ideas and knowledge.biggrin

As per moderators request I would be the correspondent on behalf of RMR.

Del do tell us more of yourself other than an editor what else do you do?Which part of England are you from?Noticed on other topics you have posted some Japanese Classic Superbikes as well which would be an added intrest for some of us.

Here in RMR we have a vast enthuasist on Sweet Elsie's as well as Power Valve models.Other than that we also have members with rare models such as Suzuki Twins/Triple's,Kawasaki Twins/Triple's,Yamaha RD 250/400 E/F,RD 500,SUzuki RG400,Honda Twins/Triple and so on mostly on TWO STROKE'S.

As you would have notice RMR members do meet quite frequently let it be on weekends as well as week days!Of course on week days its more like just a coffee talk for an hour or two.

RMR  do organize monthly rides and also Yearly get together where by all the Retro Bike owners travel from almost all over of Malaysia to one particular spot.

Well anyhow as per your request I would try my level best to compile an article and send it to you.

Hope fully its not too late for me wishing you Happy Belated Birthdayconfuse.

Cadwell Park is quite away up north from me.

I live only 5 miles from a circuit called Castle Combe.

I was gonna post in the English Corner but that area just seems to be full of jokes..!

Any chance of a Dels English Topic Heading then I can put all my stuff there.

I am on bit of an xmas break till the new year so I have more time to post at the moment. I will be happy to answer any questions that you chaps want to ask. I do get a lot at times so If I miss yours please send me a PM or ask again. It can be hard to see them all

I wanted to get the bike out today but at the moment it is pouring down with rain and its cold...crycrycrycrycrycrycrydisbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefnononocry

I am working on a more detailed profile now...............

My name is Derek Freegard, all my mates call me "Del" - please call me Del - You lot are so friendly, you are my mates.

I am 52 or is it 51..confuse

I live in the south of England in a town called Chippenham.................



As a scale the distance to London (Ace Cafe) for me is 95 miles.

I work as an engineer in a small factory (Rotaval UK) - I am a fitter and CNC machinist there.

I started riding bikes when I was 16 years old in 1974 and have ridden them ever since, except for a break when my kids were young.

I do have a modern Yamaha XJR1300 which me and the wife goes out on when the weather is nice.

I also joined the Aircooled RD Club when I restored my old Yamaha RD200.


I have now sold that bike...no

In 2005 I bought this old rough 1976. Yamaha RD400C.

 

Since then I have improved it and made it how I like it....



I machined the discs at work.........biggrin



My biggest hobby is photography - I used to carry a camera in my pocket since the 70's and used to snap away.

I took on the roll of the editor  of the "Wella'RD" which is the Aircoolerd RD clubs magazine which goes out to 400 members around the world.



I also do a bit of reporting and photos of classic bike events for the Classic and Motorcycle Mechanics. I also do the occasional feature on bikes.

I even managed to get a cover picture when I tested a 1975 Harley and Guzzi.



I do have one other bike which is a long term restoration. A Suzuki GT500.

I hope we can meet together sit down to discus and dealing how can i buy this bike.... long time i search this bike from other country but it's very difficult to find this 250f and lastly i seacrh in internet just from mamatkapar name the result is.....fantastics! in malaysian hve many bike from this model... So i hope u can consider my request to consult the old man to sell his bike to me as soon as possible. Tell him i've money to pay him....

my suggestion is to use that money
to buy or repair your moped Suzuki TRS118cc first...
both of your bikes is still stranded at the workshop..
and u are looking for a third bike!!??.....
