hahaha he is just joking that one of our resident rd aircooled/ daytona nutter (mamatkapar) is not in any of your pics...

Anyway thanks for sharing those pics with us. Wow the legendary ace cafe... one of my must visit place before i die... So what bikes do you own currently? Currently my daily ride (when the sun is shining that is) is the RG125.

UK is a classic bike heaven (to me at least). All those immaculate RD400's, RD500's, suzuki strokers, it is just like walking into a candy store when you are there... BTW just wanna share some of my pics i took at the London Motorshow early this year.

the UK favorite, the fizzie (FS1E).

My dream bike (especially when it was ridden by barry sheene)...

CMM tends to come out in only a few selected shops. It tends to sell out in a few days. Most regular readers order a copy

Howz about a very cold frosty picture of me with my XJR1300 with Stonehenge behind....

This was 7 am in the moring going to the Ace in London. Its a 100 mile ride for me. Freezing cold that day - I must have been mad.

i noticed that most of riders in UK wearing Fullface..
here, most of us using open face... Bell, Shoei, Arai..
and all the helmets were born early 80's...
not only the bikes are retro... our helmets also old/retro.
average lowers value of the helmets is around Usd300
and the highest is almost Usd3100..Usd3.1k...
not includ shipping from US to Msia... serius dude!

These are my present helmets....................Pink one is the wifes

Most people in the UK where full face.

Both these helmets cost me about 50 GBP. (270.36 Malaysian ringgits)

People can pay up to £600 for a helmet (3,244.31 Malaysian ringgits)

In the UK the manufacturers say you should change your helmet every year or is it gets a bad knock.

That bike is a Millyard special

The chap in the red T-shirt is Alan Milyard - he takes engines and adds extra cylinders to them.

He has been adding cylinders to engines for years. He took two Kawasaki Z1300 engines and built this V12.

I was at a classic show and he had it running - it sounds lush.

Look it up on You tube!

Here all super bikes raider are wearing Full face
for bikes below 350cc... Most of us are wearing open face
even for a long distance ride.
Its like a trend...
Super bikes wearing full face
customs/chopper ... military/half shell
retro bike..... Open face...
classic bike .... half shell old looks

for NEW full face, price UK600 is normal
but bit weird here... we are willing to pay
high price for a used old open face helmets esp.. BELL
as I hv mentioned... one of our members
hv buy UK2100 just for an 80's new old stock from US ebay.aww

I have that issue of the magazine somewhere. Since then anotherone has been made.

I am not sure wot happened to it though. I have been going to classic shows and events for years here in the UK and have never seen it on the road.

Someone must have it stored away.

FS1E.. I had one of those back in 1975..........

I also had the pleasure of seeing Barry Sheene and Kenny Roberts racing those bikes in the 70's.

My RD400 with me mates CBX1000. Do you have them in Malaya?

Well big capacity bikes are rare here as it is beyond the means of most of us here. Unfortunately i was not born in the 70's, so i don't know if any CBX1000's here but i have never seen one before. I have seen a few cb500/4's, and alot of the cbx650/750 as they were used by the police force here and snapped up by civvies when they are retired.

If FS1E's are the comon bikes there, in the early 80's the common strokers are the yamaha RX-S/RX-K's, and the Suzuki Gp100/125's. Here most people prefer mopeds so most of the surviving bikes from the 70's are the honda cubs.

At last you saw one Otai 1KT!

hi Superdel nice shots you got there.

CBX1000 we used to have in Malaysia about 13 units but too bad some of it has been scrapped and some of it is being kept at home's.It's a very smooth revving engine with high torque and power crazed engine.

KZ1300 siz cylinders we also had a few but now most of it is being kept for private collections.

I'm sure you know of Kawasaki Z-1 series as well and that specises still exist in Malaysia.

As for RD500's yes we have a few still running on the road and a few in restoration progress and a few as tomorrows projects.

Well anyhow nice to have you here in this forum.Enjoy it.

Thanks for all your welcomes - you are all very friendly.

I rode my first CBX way back in 1979. It was king of the Superbikes back then.

There is a club for them here in the uk and 50 or more will go to the rallies here.

I can send a couple of the Aircooled RD club mags if you want. Read them and pass them around to the others?

How does that sound?

I don't think we had the "Raider"

The MVX250 is quite a rare bike here.

The NS400R is more common. I took this last year. I nearly bought this bike but never did. I regret it now. It was a bargain at £900..

This is a mates NSR250..

Nice colour - Took this at a meet..
